This BLOG is a joke. Not one comment or helpful piece of information for a Newton retiree. And the NTA has the nerve to ask for a $100 "lifetime membership" payment. All I got for my $100 was a cancelled check. Not even a reply of thanks or welcome as a lifetime member. There was supposedly a new contract agreed to in January 2007 and ratifed by the membership in early Feb. What were the terms? For how long? And how are health care benefits for retirees impacted?
It is quite obvious that this BLOG was set up as a feeble way of saying "Here is something for you retirees.. Do with it what you will.. We've done our part." And that was on Jul 3, 2006. Since then noone has maintained this blog, botherd to delete the crap that has been posted, or even notified retirees that it exists.
What a shame!!
....and the date one posts a comment is not displayed in this BLOG, either. Would you even know that is was months ago that all the links to drugs were posted above these comments?

I was wondering about the status of contract negotiations and remembered from the party in October (at Unos) that Cheryl mentioned there would be a web site for retired members.......when I sought it out, I was disappointed (as Mark C stated) that it is not an informational site.......it was gratifing to read a TAB article (on line) that mentions the contract was ratified in February and that health insurance coverage continues, but it would be better to be more informed by NTA.........Janet Proctor, retired 2004
3/11/07. Reading my published comment shows my confusion about using a blog......I intended to leave a comment in my name, but was not sure about establishing an Account in cyberspace....therefore, I have established two identities in my first publication: "anonymous" and "Janet"........computers will always be a mystery to me and this experience may be verifying that I should not be using it for this purpose........Janet
